What we’re about
Welcome, the purpose of Exploring Reno! is to get out, meet new people, see new places, and try new experiences.!!
Activities will include (but will not be limited to) museum outings, dog-friendly hikes, photo walks, writing, painting & drawing workshops, outdoor games, brunch or coffee, volunteer opportunities, water & snow sports, visits to historic sites, camping – and more!
Most of our events will be live in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding areas, but we will do some online events via Zoom, as well.
I do not attend every event, but my goal is to connect with people and share knowledge about our beautiful town and surrounding areas. I put “HOST NEEDED” in the events that need a host.
Additionally, there will be events I just want to make you aware of, even though we do not have an actual group activity planned around it. Those events will have “PLACEHOLDER” in the title. It just means I am informing you of the event. You will be responsible for researching and getting there on your own.
(All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult)!
GROUP RULES:
1. NO-SHOWS ARE NOT TOLERATED! If you RSVP “yes” to an event and do not show up, you will be labeled a “no-show” for that event. Three “no-shows” and you will be removed from the group. No exceptions and no excuses, including “I had my notifications turned off.”
2 If you are late to an event, there is no guarantee you will be able to join us. If you do not contact the organizer to let me know you will be late, you will be considered a “no-show” and labeled that for the event.
3 If you would like to host an event, contact me and we will set it up and make you the "Host".
4. Inappropriate behavior – spamming, showing up to events unannounced, lewd behavior – are not tolerated and are grounds for expulsion.
