Form and Information: From Order to Organization

Part 2 of our series on How Everything is Connected.

It's commonly said we live in the Information Age, and clearly that's crucial to many of the drivers of exponential growth we've discussed in this group. But what exactly is information and why has it had such a massive impact and changed the world so dramatically? As with the previous discussion of energy, this and many other related key terms are often used imprecisely or equivocally in ways that impede further progress (even with all that we've made so far). You could even say that the entire progress of civilization comes down in large part to clarifying our fundamental concepts. We'll attempt to do that here and show how it applies to business and technological trends.
