This is a new product strategy which guides a company throughout the new products process, ensuring that there is a good fit between technology and a market need with good potential. Whether the company is customer- or technology-driven, it should always find a market-technology balance, and ensure that the right products, with attributes that meet emerging customer requirements and needs, are in development.
