Seth Andrews Tour - Charlotte, N.C. -Update

Details

Group is meeting at Flying Saucer, a restaurant just outside of UNCC on Tryson Blvd. at 4:00. If anyone still wants to go and meet with us for dinner, meet us there or let us know and someone can probably pick you up.

Seth Andrews, host of The Thinking Atheist, will be in Charlotte for the evening of June 15th! Come take advantage of this opportunity to attend his speaking tour, participate in an audience Q&A, and enjoy a meet & greet and book signing!

Seth Andrews, a former Christian broadcaster, now hosts one of the most popular online atheist communities in the world, and his weekly radio podcast is downloaded more than 1.5 million times every month. Seth has written the book, "Deconverted: a Journey from Religion to Reason," which chronicles his own journey out of Christianity, and he speaks around the country about his former faith and the rise of reason here in the United States.

His presentation, titled "Confessions of a Bible Belt Atheist," mixes humor and heart as it examines belief over knowledge, how the church kills curiosity, and how much more satisfying it is to have a personal relationship with reality.

The event takes place in the UNC Charlotte Cone Center, Room 341, at 6 pm and is first-come, first seated. It is sponsored by Charlotte Atheists and Agnostics and the Secular Student Alliance at UNCC. The event is free of charge, but parking costs may apply in the Cone Center Parking garage.
