Macron The Movie

Details
Made this year and lasting 112 mins is this most amazing and revealing film charting much of the life of the French Premier by surprising first time director Rolf Paoli who is half French and half Italian.
Described as a warts and all true life drama it has been publicly endorsed by Macron himself but not his wife! and it will open Cannes Film Festival on 13th May.
Timothy Chalamet plays the 16 year old blues and jazz loving Macron with a taste for vintage wine who falls for his 40 year old teacher propelling his father played by Gerard Depardieu to famously state that he almost fell off his chair when he heard of the relationship!
Interestingly Chalamet with a little makeup and disguise also appears later in the film as an illegitimate offspring resulting from a broom cupboard liaison with an aspiring young actress called Sabine played by Laure Calamy of Call My Agent fame.
Juliette Binoche has a very fleeting cameo as Minister of Finance and Marion Cotillard appears several times as his personal masseuse but the seclusion, long lingering looks and empty wine glasses suggest otherwise....
Catherine Deneuve was so eager to play his wife Brigitte that she readily shed the pounds and cured her constant craving for chocolate croissants to get the right look.
The most astounding aspect of the whole production is the astonishing appearance of Brigitte Bardot who had retired from the silver screen before Macron was even born together with several of her cats, dogs and veritable zoo as Macron's mother and apparently she had not only voted for Macron but campaigned for him too.
There are scenes of Macron sparring with Vincent Cassell and a holiday on the slopes of Val d'Isere replete with an apres ski fondue eating scene with a coquettish young Parisian model and a most diverting mixed doubles tennis match 2 or 3 years ago with Pedro Sanchez, Kamala Harris and Liz Truss and apparently the most common point of discussion between points was not politics at all but rather the state of Boris Johnson's unruly runaway hair!
The selection of Daniel Auteuil to play the adult Macron has almost torn France apart and many have commented on his beaky nose and his unstarry looks but by all accounts he has really captured the essence of Macron.
After all he did ensnare Emmanuelle Beart so the required French gallic charm is there in spades.
This group has forged great links with Cine Lumiere and are honoured to be allocated 20 seats at the British Premiere for which Macron will be in attendance.
To obtain tickets priced at £28 each which includes brie and bordeaux reception please go online www.macronthemovie.com and quote French Film Fanatics.
It all promises to be magnifique!
