Inaugural Walk with a Doc - Central Park

Join Mount Sinai physicians and medical students for the inaugural walk of our monthly Walk With a Doc series! Enjoy a healthy and complimentary breakfast as well as free blood pressure screenings. All members of the community are welcome for this free event.

The inaugural event will take place on Sunday May 7th at 11 AM in the lobby of the Icahn Medical Institute. Dr. Valentin Fuster will kick off the event with a brief talk on physical activity and cardiovascular health. A walk (with faculty, staff, and patients) will follow around central park (weather permitting) or on the 'Mount Sinai Mile' indoor walking route.

About Dr. Valentin Fuster:

For four decades, Dr. Fuster has been a global leader in the field of cardiology, including cardiovascular medicine, translational research, and education. Dr. Fuster has published more than 1,000 research studies on the prevention and treatment of heart disease, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, and thrombosis. He is a past President of the American Heart Association and the World Heart Federation.
