August: Mobile Backend using Google Firebase

Details
Most modern Mobile Apps today need a solid backend infrastructure and code to support the mobile application. Seasoned mobile developers know that backend code, infrastructure and setup can sometimes take up more than 50% of the application development/implementation cycle.
Google unveiled “The New Firebase” on May 18th 2016 at the Google I/O conference in California, as a unified platform offering the key essentials of a modern Mobile Back End.
In this talk you will get a good overview of what Firebase is and how it can help speed your mobile app development. We’ll also take a deep dive into some of the Firebase components, the opportunities it provides, the strengths, weaknesses and briefly look at some similar alternatives.
We'll build together a prototype app that utilizes/show cases some of these features. So don’t forget to bring your mac if you have one. You can also follow along with the live demo as we build.
