Hello Health 2.0 Amsterdammers,

I would like to welcome you to our first Health 2.0 Amsterdam chapter meetup which will take place at DesignThinkers Amsterdam. Arne & team were kind enough to allocate their time and space to welcome the Dutch healthcare innovators and to help foster this community and the healthcare entrepreneurs. We have a lot in store for you but I want to stress that this group is nothing with out you. Only you can help grow it!

We try to structure these meetups around themes and our first meetup is about decisions, the tough decisions that us, as healthcare consumers, need to make but also the decision support systems that are available to the health practitioners.

With that in mind, here is our Agenda for September 20th:

Agenda:

18:30 - Gathering the crowd and networking (bring your business cards or at least your Twitter handle name)

19:00 - What is Health 2.0 and introductions (moderated by Eugene Borukhovich)

19:30 - Presentation: Drimpy (https://www.drimpy.com), Rob Halkes

20:00 - Presentation: Promedas, Roel Lakmaker

20:30 - Wrap-up & networking

"Drimpy is an online social platform on which you as a patient can exchange your healthcare details with caregivers and ask them for advice. Healthcare professionals can also register and save time and costs. In short: we offer direct support in improving health, illness and treatment." - Rob Halkes will walk us through the patient experience (err healthcare consumer... ) as well as the benefits for the healthcare professional. As always there will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation

"ProMedas™ is a clinical expertise system providing knowledge and decision support. Using the patient’s information it determines the most probable diagnosis or differential diagnosis. As well as the differential diagnosis, ProMedas™ also shows the side effects of medicines which could be a possible cause of the symptoms. Research has demonstrated that ProMedas™ generates reliable suggestions for diagnoses when age, sex and laboratory results have been used as input variables (ref. Critical Appraisal). Use of further patient information is easily possible with ProMedas™. This can increase the accuracy of the generated diagnosis for that specific patient." - Roel Lakmaker will present Promedas and their decisions support system. We will ask all the critical questions that will help adopt these tools and as always give critical but helpful suggestions in the Q&A session.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on September 20th!

We keep this event FREE for everyone, so given that space is limited please ensure that your RSVP reflects your confirmed attendance!
