Joni will define and review trends and sources in residential lighting – including light sources, materials and styles, plus fixture finishes, shapes and placement, with special emphasis on the new LED light source and how it can be used.

Lighting Objectives:
- identify various light sources (LED, incandescent) for different applications (task, ambient, decorative)
- identify and define various trends for decorative lighting, including fixture placement, designs inspired by historical and period styles, and new applications for specific fixtures
- identify new innovative lighting techniques, materials, and sources

With 10 years of experience in lighting, and 13 in the design industry, she understands the importance of lighting in residential, retail, and commercial applications. She travels the DC and Baltimore metro areas as a sales representative for Zanger Associates, where she works with area designers and lighting showrooms to inform them of the current products available for their clients and customers, as well as providing insight on lighting design and application for various projects.
