Night Shoot at Piedmont Park

For our first workshop of 2018 let's get together for a night photography/composition workshop in Piedmont Park! "Night photography" was one of the highest rated topics from our recent survey.

This workshop will be for all skill levels as I'll be covering everything you need to take great pictures at night. We'll look at composition (of course), different techniques for capturing images in low light, and even get into a bit of light painting!

We'll get there early enough to setup for some twilight/sunset shots by the lake and then continue into the dark. Be sure to bring along a tripod and a remote release for your camera (sometimes called a "cable release" or even wireless release). If you don't have one, I can help you pick out something on Amazon (just email me) and we'll be sure to talk about what to do if/when you forget one (which I've done more than once).

Also, if you have an LED flashlight or "headlight", bring that along too. It will make it easier for you to see your camera controls in the dark AND can be handy for light painting :)
