Meet Women in Tech, Scotland

The venue is downstairs in Blackfriars Pub, Merchant City in Glasgow city centre.

Geraldine Wooley, Equate - Women and recognition

Geraldine is the Business Adviser for Equate Scotland (http://www.equatescotland.org.uk/) at Edinburgh Napier University. She advises SET employers on gender issues in workplace culture.

Sarah Currier, Urban Big Data Centre - Investigating urban research problems with big data

Sarah is Senior Project Manager with the Urban Big Data Centre (http://ubdc.ac.uk/), which analyses big data, to support policymakers, businesses and communities develop effective solutions.

Silka Patel, Cisco - Scotland Women in Technology Silkafounded and has run the Scotland Women in Technology group for a number of years.

Grainne Hamilton, DigitalMe - Digital credentials. Plays, pathways and ending up in tech

Grainne is Programme Director for HE and Adult Learning with DigitalMe (http://www.equatescotland.org.uk/), a not-for-profit that is enabling a new skills currency with digital credentials / Open Badges.
