Multiple award-winning researcher, Daniel Modulevsky earned a BSc in Biochemistry at uOttawa and is currently completing a PhD in Biophysics at the Pelling Laboratory for Biophysical Manipulation (uOttawa). Aside from publishing research in science journals, Daniel has also presented science-inspired gallery installations, one of which is now housed in the permanent collection of the Canada Science and Technology Museum. His main research interests include calcium signalling and tissue engineering, but his true passion is trying crazy ideas in the lab. All are welcome to join us for a presentation and discussion of Daniel’s research with growing mammalian tissue on decellularized apples as an alternative biomaterial.
