This workshop provides practical planning tips for the small business operator or owner of a startup. Several tools will be explored, and applied in the seminar by participants.
Established businesses will learn what planning tools they should use based on their size and complexity. Startups will learn about how to identify a repeatable and scalable business model.
What you will learn:
- Deliberate vs emergent strategies, or how much planning is enough?
- What is a business model. Pros and cons of various business models.
- Resources for planning in the small business context.
About the Presenter:
Brad Poulos is a battle-hardened entrepreneur, educator and researcher who has led companies in the telecommunication, software and, most recently the cannabis industry.
His experience has focused on running and helping companies with issues related to growth, business development, business optimization and business strategy.
As an expert in lean start up, he has helped launch and grow several companies – either as a board member, as an official mentor at several Ontario incubators, or as unofficial advisor.
