Reading group: Designing Data-Intensive Applications — Session #1

Hi peeps,

This is our second slightly experimental event for this month!

There are lots of book clubs, but few consider the reading time part of the meetup. We do!

I always struggle to prioritise reading the book before a book club meeting so why not do it during the book club meeting? Let's try it.

Feel free to attend with your copy of Designing Data-Intensive Applications in either virtual or dead trees format, and let's read at the same time in (almost) silence. We'll allocate some time to introduce ourselves as well!

About the book

Designing Data-Intensive Applications is a recent classic. Written by Martin Kleppmann, it's considered one of the must-read books for software engineers working on the web/cloud/distributed domain.
