We are excited to have Patrick Di Loreto join us from William Hill. Patrick is the Head of Platform Engineering at William Hill where he is driving the development of the company's next generation Data Platform. Passionate about Functional Programming and Machine Learning, Patrick is a usual speaker at functional programming and big data congresses. He is an experienced engineer focused on designing and implementing distributed systems for highly available and scalable platforms.

His talk will be titled: Omnia a Distributed Reactive Data Platform

Abstract: Big Data is a reality, with the massive adoption of portable devices, clients use our services everywhere at any time. Companies must rethink how to manage data, and how they organise around the data. Join Patrick Di Loreto, Head of Platform Engineering for William Hill as he reveals how this company, which was founded on 1934, is going Reactive to remain a leader in the gambling industry.
