Shining up Haskell

Details

Speaker: Tom Nielsen (https://www.meetup.com/London-Haskell/members/115842552/).

Shiny ( https://shiny.rstudio.com/ ) is a web framework for R that dramatically reduces the workload in developing analytics dashboards and other interactive data science-based applications. It accomplishes this by seamlessly mapping form fields to visualisation state variables and abstracting away many aspects of web applications such as routing, methods and form processing. Shiny is now a key tool for data scientists and a significant advantage for R as the go-to data ecosystem.

In this talk, Tom considers a design for a Haskell library to provide similar functionality to the Haskell data science community. Although Shiny has now become a large production-grade project with which it is difficult to catch up, Tom will show how a Haskell library can provide more flexibility and reuse.
