What is Blisters for Bread in association with Lucky Star?

The Peninsula School Feeding Association’s Blisters for Bread, in association with Lucky Star, is a 55-year-old family charity fun walk which takes place every year on the last Sunday in August. The event’s main objectives are to create awareness of childhood hunger and raise funds to feed impoverished learners at school.

This year the event takes place along the beautiful Sea Point Promenade on Sunday, 27 August, starting at Stephan Way, Green Point and ending at the Green Point Cricket Club and will include the following two routes:

10km walk, which starts at 07h45)

5km walk, which starts at 08h00

All participants will receive a medal, refreshments sponsored by Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages and a fantastic free live concert featuring popular Cape Town singers Nur Abrahams and Krista Jonas, who is remembered for her sterling performance on The Voice South Africa Season 3 and 14-year-old Sayde Fillis whose cover of an Adele song got 2 million views on Facebook. There will also be lucky number draws with great prizes up for grabs.
