Introductory meetup

Details
Let's meet in October and see if there is interest in having meetups more regularly around this topic and define some goals for the upcoming meetups.
Agenda:
Juha Ristolainen / Futurice Oy, Codemancers Oy: "Welcome and introductions" Teemu Tapanila / AppCampus: "Why Develop for Windows Phone?" Jouni Kaplas / Futurice Oy: "Windows 8 + JavaScript, Does it really suck?" Karl Ots / Symbio "Update of Windows 8 developer ecosystem in Tampere" Speaker bios:
Teemu Tapanila (http://www.tapanila.net/), Guru of AppCampus (http://www.appcampus.fi/), is helping chosen developers to create Windows Phone applications. He’s also spreading the AppCampus message to developers around the world. Teemu is also working as board member of Aalto entrepreneurship society (http://aaltoes.com/) and leading Windows Phone Aalto Community (http://windowsphoneaalto.org/). He has extensive experience from Microsoft technologies including Windows Azure, Windows Phone and Windows 8.
Jouni Kaplas is a web dude working with front- and backend stuff at Futurice. He has worked with various mobile and web tech stacks in the past, and is always keen in learning the next big thing. For the past months I've been working on building quite a big Windows 8 application with JavaScript for a customer at Futurice. Based on this experience, I will give a talk about what kind of environment Windows 8 offers for web developers. The talk will include learning experiences, good and bad parts of the platform, as well as a bunch of tech demos. And last but not least, I hope to be able to give at least my own opinion on if the Win8 + JS combination really sucks or not.
Karl Ots believes that connected devices and great user experiences will make the world a better place. He applies that passion to his work at Symbio, where he is a developer, trainer, evangelist and mentor for the latest MSFT technologies. He has a comprehensive knowledge around Windows Azure, Windows 8 and Windows Phone. Karl is also a Microsoft Student Partner Lead in Finland. His Twitter handle is @fincooper and he blogs at http://fincooper.azurewebsites.net/ .
