The Getty and Ansel Adams

Details

Once again, this is a weekday f/Stops photo excursion around the LA area. As always, it is designed to be an informal opportunity for photography as well as a chance to interact among our fellow photo enthusiasts.

The Getty Center is a fabulous place to flex your architectural photography muscles. Everywhere you look is a composition waiting to be captured. Add to that, an exhibition of Saint Ansel's work and you have the recipe for a very nice photo outing.

Some Info:

There is a parking fee of $15 and the museum is free. Carpool and split the cost.

The museum opens at 10am. If you plan to arrive around that time you should be able to make it easily to the meeting spot by 10:30.

Walking is on level pavement and lawns. There are numerous stairs as well.

Go to http://www.getty.edu/museum/ for Getty info.

Remember this is the Museum in Westwood and NOT the Villa in Malibu.

I believe tripods and backpacks are discouraged. There is a backpack check up at the museum. Travel light if you can.

The cafeteria is very good. Have lunch up there.
