Free-Tap City Tap Dance Awards-with live performances and more

This celebration is covering the 2024 and 2025 Hoofer and Tap Preservation award recipients and inducts new members into the international tap dance Hall of Fame. There will be surprise guests, film clips and live performances.

This year’s International Hall of Fame Honorees include Tommy Tune and Dick Van Dyke. Posthumous Hall of Fame awards go to Billy Strayhorn and Joe Sterling.

FUN FACT: I saw Tommy Tune in a one-man show of Ichabod Crane as he tap danced in clogs, when I was in college in Boston many years ago. I had taken two semesters of top dancing back then and my top dance instructor took us to see Tommy Tune.
