"Kapono's at The Lounge" is a fabulous new place for Friday evening happy hour. Right on the marina, with beautiful sunset views, featuring up & coming local artists.
Legendary musician Kapono owns this place and mentors the musicians he features on Fridays. Proceeds from the evening go to support his Foundation which centers on promoting local artists and Hawaiian music.
Genres range from Hawaiian to jazz to singer-song writer.
Located in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center, 377 Keahole Street, Suite D.
Tons of free parking.
We'll meet around 5:30. I've reserved two tables, for a total of 8 people. Live music starts at 5:30 and goes to 8:30. The food and drinks are good, but be warned, the prices are not "happy hour" style. But there's no cover charge and the music was really good my first time there.
