Zombie Apocalypse: The Children's Story (with puppets)

Details

Sometime in the future a technological disaster happens in the world. As a result, the world becomes overwhelmingly populated by Zombies. Humanity survives in pockets of people, but their survivability is tenuous. Our heroes in this story, are a band of mostly 5th graders led by their impeccable and astute teacher, Mrs. Phelps. This year she tragically lost her husband to the Zombies.

The Zombies spent their waking hours watching TV, or in access on the internet or cell-phone. Once a Zombie always a Zombie. The children couldn’t wait to come home from school, for their parents let them watch as much TV as they wanted. They were mostly rude, for if you spend your time watching TV or interacting with people via computer screen, the consequences of impoliteness is not as apparent. Also the games they played online did not help them learn rudimentary conviviality. They didn’t wash their face at night when they went to bed or brush their teeth, their clothes were disheveled, hair uncombed and often their cloths were torn as a statement of fashion. Not having a lot to talk about they mostly uttered a “ughaahhh, ughaahh” when with people.

This meet-up will begin with making puppets to represent our characters, becoming more familiar with the premise, and later, create scripts for video to be posted on Youtube.

Ages 12 and up.
