What We Talk About When We Talk About Facilitation

What We Talk About When We Talk About Facilitation

Details

Picture yourself on an airplane. You walk up the aisle, take your seat, and begin reading a book about facilitation. Your neighbour turns to ask, “Excuse me, but the title of that book looks intriguing. May I ask, what is this ‘facilitation’ thing all about?” What would you say?

As facilitators we often need to explain our role and tools of trade to people who are unfamiliar. It could be to win work with a prospective client, help a family member or friend, or even to introduce the field to a stranger on a plane.

In this interactive session we’ll explore how to better communicate, and in doing so, how we can create more opportunities to bring the power of facilitation into our work, families, and communities.
