What we’re about
Do you like chess? Are you located somewhere near Northern Virginia? Then come play chess with us at the Fairfax Chess Club! All levels of experience and skill are welcome. We typically have a mix of beginner and intermediate players, with an occasional visit from one of the local masters.
You don't have to own a chess set — though if you have one, feel free to bring it. Many attendees bring their own boards and sets, but there are usually a few extra ones handy, just in case.
The Fairfax Chess Club meets twice per week:
- Mondays at 6 PM at Mackenzie's Tunes and Tonics (3950 University Dr STE 210, Fairfax, VA 22030)
- Wednesdays at 6 PM at Patriot's Pub & Grill (10560 Main St, Fairfax, VA 22030)
NOTE: Most of the regulars no longer bother to register on Meetup. There are almost always at least a half-dozen of us here, even if there are only one or two listed attendees. Just come on by!
