What we’re about
Join us as we work to rescue the native trees of Fairfax County from invasive vines and other invasive plants. Many volunteer opportunities are available, including tree-rescue events in which we clip the invasive vines at the base of trees to save them from being weighed down, strangled, or smothered. To find all the events in Fairfax County, visit https://www.fairfaxprism.org/.

Clifton Tree Rescue
Location not specified yetThis is the first of what we plan to be twice monthly tree-rescue events of the Clifton Tree Rescuers (although this particular event is in Fairfax Station). We will be cutting Asian Wisteria vines to save the trees from being strangled and smothered. This is fun and very gratifying work - you can see the results right away!
Please fill out the registration form here to give us your emergency contact information, acknowledge the risks of outdoor work, and be sent the address where we will meet.
Please dress appropriately in clothes that you don't mind getting snagged by thorns: closed-toe shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hat, and work gloves.
If you have loppers, clippers, or pruning saws (no power tools), please bring them, although we will have extra.1 attendee
