Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge
Details
The Sacrament National Wildlife Refuge is on the Pacific Flyway and is over 10,000 acres in size.
It consists of several wildlife refuges. There is a $5.50 entry fee that covers all the wildlife refuges.
We will meet at the Visitors Center and travel by vehicle through the refuge on the Driving Tour. There are only 3 spots to get out during the driving tour.
After the driving tour we will follow the walking tour trail. This is a great time of the year to see hawks, bald eagles, coyote, fox, and a variety of duck species.
After the walking tour we will travel the backroads to Williams, CA for lunch followed with a trip to the Colusa Wildlife Preserve on Highway 20 east of Williams.
Bring your long lens for this event and dress in layers.
