Welcome to The Fairfield Rock Climbing Group!

You're on the ground floor of what will become Fairfield County's largest organized group of climbers. Our number 1 goal: Unite the southern Connecticut climbing scene, help new climbers get started in a non-intimidating environment, and coordinate fun climbing opportunities for the community - indoors and out.

The Plan:

We'll all Meetup at 7:30pm near the front desk to meet the crew, gear up and get climbing! We'll officially wrap up around 9:30pm then head over to Colony Pizza (http://colonygrill.com/) on the post road in Fairfield for food/drinks.

Cost: It's free to participate with the group but regular climbing gym rates apply. Carabiner's has been good enough to offer FIRST TIME VISITORS of FRC Meetup a special introductory rate.

First Time Visitor Deal: $10 day pass | $15 day pass (equipment included)

Belay Certification

Top rope climbing does require certification at any indoor climbing facility. If you're already certified at Carabiners, you're all set! If you know how to belay but this is your first time climbing at Carabiners you'll be asked to complete a simple belay test. Arrive a few minutes early if possible to take your free belay test.

First Time Climbers

Top roped indoor climbing does require belay certification but don't let that scare you off! No experience is required to participate with us on your first visit. If you have fun with the group and would like to continue to RSVP for our meetups, we suggest scheduling a Belay Course with the staff at Carabiners. Once completed, you'll be certified to belay on your own and take turns belaying members of our group. Its simple, super fun, and makes you a contributing member of our climbing group.
