This fall we're walking through the new FaithTech Playbook 2.0, one part per night, and putting it into practice at Hack for the Community (Nov. 12-13). New to FaithTech, or missed Part 1? You're welcome here: each night stands on its own, so it's easy to jump in mid-series.

What to Expect

Eat: Connect over food: we'll have pizza, soda, and water.

Learn: Part 2, The Way of Technology: how the tools we use form us, and three ancient enemies hiding in today's tech (the Magic Machine Myth, the Limitless Self, and the Killer App Trap). We'll also cover the second stage of the Redemptive Create Cycle, Discern: seeking God's wisdom before choosing a response, including when not to build.

Build: Get ready for Hack for the Community, a hackathon for local nonprofits hosted by Nashville Tech Builders and the Greater Nashville Technology Council. In small groups, we'll weigh a few real nonprofit needs with three questions: who does this serve, what could it cost them, and should we build it at all? Developers, designers, and project managers are needed, and so are you: you don't have to code to join.

Everyone is welcome regardless of where you are in your faith or tech journey.

Attendance is free, but we ask that you RSVP to help us plan enough food for everyone!
