Southampton Social for the ex-religious

We’re delighted to be hosting another friendly social meet-up in Southampton for people who have left a high control religious group.

These socials are relaxed, informal spaces to connect with others who understand what it’s like to step away from a controlling religious community. Whether you left recently or years ago, you’re very welcome. There’s no set agenda — just conversation, community, and a chance to meet like-minded people over a drink.

The event will be hosted by Emlyn, one of our wonderful volunteers, who has personal experience of leaving a high-control religion. He understands both the challenges and the sense of freedom that can come with that journey, and he’ll help ensure the space feels welcoming and inclusive.
