Okay, let me tell you how this all started…

A few years ago, I got what I can only describe as a HORRIBLE blonde dye job.

I’m talking BAD.

My hair started breaking off so badly that I couldn't even wear my own hair. I was devastated. I remember feeling so depressed that I actually wanted to quit my job and stay home because I didn't feel like myself anymore.

Then one day I walked into a pop-up shop that was selling hair toppers.

And somehow, I walked out a completely different woman.

I put that hair on and suddenly...

WHO WAS SHE?!

The confidence came back.

I felt sexy. I felt fun. I felt like ME again.

And then came the mermaid hair.

Oh yes.

MERMAID HAIR.

That was me.

And you couldn't tell me ANYTHING. 😂

That's when I realized something:

Hair is so much more than hair.

Sometimes putting on a different piece of hair can completely change how you feel when you walk out the door.

And that's how Fake Hair Queens was born.

It's a fun, welcoming social group for anyone who loves hair.

Women who wear wigs.

Men who wear wigs.

Women who wear toppers.

Women experiencing hair thinning or hair loss.

Women who have alopecia.

Women who just want to change their look.

Drag queens.

Gay men.

Guys who love fabulous hair.

Hair lovers.

Hair influencers.

People who have never worn a wig but are curious.

Basically...

If you love hair, you're invited.

And NO — you don't have to have hair loss to be here.

You can wear your wig because you need it.

You can wear it because you want it.

You can wear it because you feel like being a completely different person for the night.

Or you can just come because you want to meet some fun people and talk about hair over dinner.

There is absolutely no judgment here.

And this is where I want everyone to completely lose their minds.

I want the biggest hair.

The longest hair.

The blondest hair.

The craziest hair.

Mermaid hair.

Dolly Parton hair.

Drag queen hair.

Hair so big that you need to duck going through the restaurant door.

And AMAZING outfits.

I want us walking into that restaurant like:

“Yes, we're all together. Yes, this is our hair. And yes, we're fabulous.”

I want women who never thought they could pull something like that off to put on that wig and suddenly realize...

OH. I AM THAT BITCH.

Because I've been there.

I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and not feel like yourself.

And I also know what it feels like to put on a piece of hair and suddenly find your confidence again.

That's what I want this group to be about.

Not hiding.

Not being embarrassed.

Not apologizing.

Having FUN.
