Join us for a weekly book club reading Ilan Pappé’s book The Ethic Cleansing of Palestine
We’ll be meeting at Central Market (North Lamar) 7pm on Tuesdays until 6/10!
We’ll discuss what we read and jump into thought provoking conversations led by a book club leader.
Please come prepared with the weekly reading done. Bring any notes or points you’d like to discuss! Feel free to buy snacks or drinks at Central Market.
Meetings are typically outside on Central Market patio. Though we’ll move inside if weather is a problem.
5/6: Preface and Chapters 1, 2, 3
5/13: Chapter 4
5/20: Chapter 5
5/27: Chapters 6 - 7
6/3: Chapters 8 - 9
6/10: Chapters 10, 11, 12 and Epilogue
*This book club is focused on creating an open environment to discuss the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Everyone is welcome as long as they agree on a Free Palestine. If you are new to the subject and would like to learn from a perspective other than the mainstream media and politicians’ talking points, please join us!
**People that aren't on Meet-Up show up, so there's more people that come than are RSVP-ed! Don't stress if you are quieter/not very knowledge/behind on the reading - all are welcome!
