About this event: this is a gathering for people who love boardgames--or maybe think they might, but haven't given it a chance since that devastating experience attempting Risk ten years ago that ended in tears for everyone! Modern boardgames can offer so much: they can be quick, fun, hilarious, flashy, beautiful!
For this event, we welcome all who are attending to bring any games they happen to love along with them. Games will be explained and played in smaller groups, or if we have a game that can take a lot of players, we can do that too! We tend to gravitate towards lighter, quicker social games--but if you've a mind for a more in-depth game, let us know and we can plan ahead!
Event location is at the lovely Reddingmuirhead Community Hall where we have a room booked. As a way to cover the costs of booking this room/meetup costs, we ask a cheeky 2 quid from each attendee. You can pay via MONZO here!! If digital payments arenât your thing, we accept cold hard cash on the night.
We will have teas, coffees, and a profusion of snacks available (bring some along if you'd like to share !!).
There is usually parking available in front of the Hall, however if other groups are hosting you might have to seek out parking out on the street. We will be hosting games in Room 1 and 2 on the night, which are the doors on the left hand side as you enter.

You MUST register your attendance here. There has been a few event scraping incidents where these game nights are put on the Herald Online, please note if you are not registered to attend the game night via Meet-up, we cannot accommodate you.
If you decide to attend but later cannot make it, we ask that you please change your attendance so we know not to expect you and anyone on the waitlist can take your place.

BLOOD ON THE CLOCKTOWER

During a hellish thunderstorm, a scream echoes through the sleepy town of Ravenswood Bluff. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the beloved local storyteller has been murdered, their body hanging limp from the clocktower. As blood drips onto the cobblestones below, a realisation slowly dawns⊠a demon has been unleashed, killing by night and taking on human form by day.
Can good find the demon in time? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful town?
Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception, twists and trickery for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller.
A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a âgoodâ or âevilâ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.
We will be running two games concurrently with a 13 player cap each - Clarissa will field the Trouble Brewing script which is advised if you have never played the game before, Paul will be running the more advanced Bad Moon Rising script to give players more of a challenge.
Absolute beginners and Newbies to social deduction games are more than welcome, you will all have a blast.

18+ only. It may, and when we say may, we mean PROBABLY gonna be rowdy, but only in the best way, but over 18âs only.

This game is very popular and if you know you cant make it, we do please ask you update your attendance to "not going" as soon as possible. If you no show, we need to see a doctors note or the Hellhounds will be unleashed.
Any questions at all, please hit us up on the DM. If this is your first time at something like this it might feel a bit like walking into a lions den, but we have a wonderful group and we will put your mind at ease.
