Fantastic Happenings

Come get in the DIY spirit and learn how to make zines! Zines are small magazines focused on the topic of your choosing. Friendly to newbies and seasoned zinesters alike. Materials will be provided but supplies are limited.

Paper, stamps, writing utensils, and various clippings will be provided, as well as scanning and printing capabilities.
Participants will be able to print completed zines (up to $5).
No registration is required, however, supplies and seating may be limited if there is a high attendance.
Located in the Instruction Lab at the South Brunswick Public Library

A workshop for aspiring or budding poets to get together to read and review each other's poems.

The South Brunswick Library has a selection of games and staff members bring some of their own to share. Feel free to bring your favorite games or play one of ours. Learn new games or enjoy getting to play with real, actual people! We should be in our small meeting room (1A/1B), located to the right of the Borrower Services desk, however look for a sign just in case we have to change rooms.
No registration is required but space is limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis. Open to anyone ages 18 & up. If parking is an issue, please feel free to park at the Municipal Lot nearby.

We are discussing an award winning novel, The Adventures of Amina Al-Sarafi by Shannon Chakraborty. We have physical copies as well as ebook/audio copies on Libby. Participants must obtain their own copy of the book as the library will not get them for you. Watch the movie and compare it to the book if you like!

Feel free to attend whether you have read the book or not, and just enjoy discussing books. Bring a title to suggest for our next meeting (we meet every other month)!

We are meeting at Pizza Delizia. SBPL is purchasing one or two appetizer item or items. You are welcome to purchase (or not) additional items such as pizza or soda.

Pizza Delizia is small but there is parking both in front & behind the restaurant. We will be the group taking over a bunch of tables (it's small so easy to find us!)

This discussion group overall will be focusing on all the speculative genres: science fiction, fantasy, mystery, paranormal and horror as well as stories which mix elements of many types (so there will be lots of options). We are very low key, and just love reading in these genres, so feel free to try it, whether or not you have read the book. This is open to anyone ages 18 & up, no registration is required. The title is available in our library (or other libraries) or can be purchased if you prefer.
