Speculative Fiction Book Group

We are discussing Blackheart Man by Nalo Hopkinson. The magical island of Chynchin is facing conquerors from abroad and something sinister from within in this entrancing fantasy from the Grand Master Award–winning author Nalo Hopkinson.

Feel free to attend whether you have read the book or not, and just enjoy discussing books. Bring a title to suggest for our next meeting in August!

We are, as usual, meeting at Pizza Delizia. SBPL is purchasing one or two appetizer item or items. You are welcome to purchase (or not) additional items such as pizza or soda.

Pizza Delizia is small but there is parking both in front & behind the restaurant. We will be the group taking over a bunch of tables (it's small so easy to find us!)

This discussion group overall will be focusing on all the speculative genres: science fiction, fantasy, mystery, paranormal and horror as well as stories which mix elements of many types (so there will be lots of options). We are very low key, and just love reading in these genres, so feel free to try it, whether or not you have read the book. This is open to anyone ages 18 & up, no registration is required. The title is available in our library (or other libraries) or can be purchased if you prefer.
