I started this group because I have always loved fantasy novels, but I realized that diving into the genre can be intimidating. Between the sprawling world-building, the dense magic systems, and the endless series, it is easy to feel lost when you are first getting started. This is a space for those who want to explore the best of the genre without feeling like they need to be experts or lifelong fans to join the conversation.
Our meetings are informal and focus on breaking down a different fantasy book each month. We aim to discuss why these stories work, how to navigate different writing styles, and what makes the genre so compelling in the first place. Whether you have never picked up a fantasy novel before or you are just looking for a low-pressure group to share your thoughts with, you are welcome here. We are mostly interested in creating a friendly community where we can learn from one another and discover our next favorite read together.
