Welcome to The Screenwriters Collaborative. This group is for anyone currently working on a screenplay who wants to connect with others in the local film community. Whether you are deep into a first draft, refining a project for production, or just looking to trade notes on the craft, our goal is to provide a space where screenwriters can talk shop, share experiences, and support one another through the isolation of the writing process.

We meet regularly to discuss the reality of the industry, swap feedback on current work, and build genuine connections with fellow writers. There is no rigid structure or high-pressure environment here; we are simply a group of people interested in helping each other get our scripts finished and out into the world. If you are looking for a community of peers rather than just another networking event, we would love to have you join us at our next gathering.

If you have a screenplay that feels stuck or you are just looking for ways to tighten your narrative structure, join us for our next screenwriting workshop in Sheffield. This session is designed to be a practical, collaborative space where we look at the mechanics of plotting and how to keep a story moving effectively from the first act to the final fade out. We will spend part of the time discussing common structural pitfalls and the rest of the session working through specific plot points for projects you are currently developing.
Whether you are working on your first script or you are a seasoned writer looking for fresh eyes on your latest draft, this group is meant to support your process in a relaxed environment. It is an opportunity to get honest feedback and share ideas with other local writers who are in the thick of the creative process. Please RSVP if you can make it, as it helps me get a sense of how many scripts or outlines we will be reviewing on the day.
