This trail is both spooky and yet amazing. Graffiti, charm, history, & ghosts.

An easy 3.89 mile hike, very gentle sloping hills, a quaint pond in the woods, an abandoned building, and more await you. Bring 2 micro brews or IPA's in your pack during the hike for a tasting at the 1/2 way point.

Afterwards, it's back the HFB Clubhouse; the quaint, renovated 1910 Farm House with detached bar in Monrovia where a war of the worlds will clash right on the home front. It's Wine VS Beer! Pick your poison and BRING what you love! We will do guided tastings and see who wins the war!

We will have yard games, snacks, the grill going full hot, and music on blast! Bring a picnic blanket or a chair! 4-Wheeler rides on site--ride yourself or get on for the local abandoned home tour right from the property, right past the 1700's cemetery where more ghostly spirits await!!!

The Garage is where projects get built, old things get fixed, and real conversations happen over a drink or a tool bench. It’s not polished, but it’s purposeful. The Garage is where people go to figure things out — and that’s exactly what we’re doing here.

We want to start by saying — there are no leaders here. No hierarchy. No titles. No one running the show. At most, there’s a little facilitation to keep things moving, but at the end of the day, we’re all just people — showing up, together.

This space is not about one voice teaching and others listening.
It’s about everyone giving and receiving.
That means if you came here needing encouragement, you’re in the right place.
And if you came here with encouragement to give — you’re in the right place too.

So what are we doing here?
If you want to get technical — we’re doing church.

Not according to Google. Google says a church is a building, used for public worship.

But the Bible gives us a much more beautiful definition:
Church is people.
Church is community.
Church is us, united by faith, doing life together.

And by that definition — yes, this is church.
There’s no steeple.
There’s no stage.
Just people, gathered in love and unity, just trying to walk this life together.

For some of us, this feels more like church than any building ever has.
Because let’s be honest — a lot of modern churches feel more like a routine than a relationship. We walk in, hear a message, and walk out… unchanged. Unseen. Unheard.

Here, it’s different.

What we’re not doing here

We’re not forming a theology club.
We’re not debating doctrines or dissecting verses until we forget how to live them.
We’re not here to prove who’s more “right.”

We honor the Bible.
We believe in its truth.
We know it changes lives — it’s changed ours.
But this space isn’t built around arguing interpretations. It’s built around sharing life.

If you’ve got questions, bring them.
If you’ve got insight, offer it.
If a verse speaks to you, we want to hear about it.
But we’re not getting stuck in the weeds. We’re moving toward the heart.

So what is this group all about?

This is about the human heart.

In a world that’s loud, fast, distracted, and disconnected… we are slowing down.
We’re making space for peace.
We’re making room to listen.
We’re showing up for each other in a way that actually matters.

You don’t have to perform here.
You don’t have to fix anyone here.
You don’t even have to be “okay” here.

We’ve all gone through hard things. If your heart’s beating, you’ve got a story. You’ve got wounds. You’ve got joys and struggles, just like the rest of us.

We remember that empathy and presence go a long way — sometimes further than any sermon.

It’s time for our annual trail cleanup hike—a tradition that combines good vibes, good deeds, and great company! We’ll be hitting the Greenway Trail along Great Seneca Creek, enjoying a scenic and rewarding hike while giving back to the trails we love.
Bring a trash bag and a trail snack—we’ll clean up litter near Watkins Mill Road, then cruise into the woods where nature takes over. We will again pick up little near the 355 overpass. Once we’ve done our part, we’ll take a crew photo with our collected trash with the graffiti-covered bridge as our backdrop—proof of our good work and an awesome memory!

But what’s a good deed without a good reward? After dropping off our bags at La Villa Bar & Grill, we’ll celebrate with pitchers of margaritas and some of the best tacos around! Expect laughs, high-fives, and spontaneous after-party plans—because this group never calls it a night too early!
