MORE DETAIL:
Welcome. This is Us.
The Garage is where projects get built, old things get fixed, and real conversations happen over a drink or a tool bench. Itâs not polished, but itâs purposeful. The Garage is where people go to figure things out â and thatâs exactly what weâre doing here.
We want to start by saying â there are no leaders here. No hierarchy. No titles. No one running the show. At most, thereâs a little facilitation to keep things moving, but at the end of the day, weâre all just people â showing up, together.
This space is not about one voice teaching and others listening.
Itâs about everyone giving and receiving.
That means if you came here needing encouragement, youâre in the right place.
And if you came here with encouragement to give â youâre in the right place too.
So what are we doing here?
If you want to get technical â weâre doing church.
Not according to Google. Google says a church is a building, used for public worship.
But the Bible gives us a much more beautiful definition:
Church is people.
Church is community.
Church is us, united by faith, doing life together.
And by that definition â yes, this is church.
Thereâs no steeple.
Thereâs no stage.
Just people, gathered in love and unity, just trying to walk this life together.
For some of us, this feels more like church than any building ever has.
Because letâs be honest â a lot of modern churches feel more like a routine than a relationship. We walk in, hear a message, and walk out⊠unchanged. Unseen. Unheard.
Here, itâs different.
What weâre not doing here
Weâre not forming a theology club.
Weâre not debating doctrines or dissecting verses until we forget how to live them.
Weâre not here to prove whoâs more âright.â
We honor the Bible.
We believe in its truth.
We know it changes lives â itâs changed ours.
But this space isnât built around arguing interpretations. Itâs built around sharing life.
If youâve got questions, bring them.
If youâve got insight, offer it.
If a verse speaks to you, we want to hear about it.
But weâre not getting stuck in the weeds. Weâre moving toward the heart.
So what is this group all about?
This is about the human heart.
In a world thatâs loud, fast, distracted, and disconnected⊠we are slowing down.
Weâre making space for peace.
Weâre making room to listen.
Weâre showing up for each other in a way that actually matters.
You donât have to perform here.
You donât have to fix anyone here.
You donât even have to be âokayâ here.
Weâve all gone through hard things. If your heartâs beating, youâve got a story. Youâve got wounds. Youâve got joys and struggles, just like the rest of us.
We remember that empathy and presence go a long way â sometimes further than any sermon.
Weâre just people who give a damn.
People who want to go on a walk together for a little while.
This group is built by everyone in it.
No one person makes this group work.
Itâs the shared energy. The shared empathy. The shared time.
Every voice matters. Every story adds something. Every presence contributes.
This is a place where itâs okay to be quiet.
Itâs okay to speak up.
Itâs okay to cry, to laugh, to vent, to breathe.
You should leave here feeling lighter than when you walked in.
Because even if we donât solve anything â we see each other.
And that alone changes everything.
This is church.
