Welcome to the group!
We’re here to have fun and explore great activities throughout Metro Detroit. I always try to choose venues that are affordable, enjoyable, and safe.
The $1.50/month fee is simply to help cover group costs. After processing fees, I receive about $0.89 per member—so don’t worry, I’m definitely not getting rich off this 😊.
Please make sure to follow Meetup’s policies and group rules. These are in place to keep everyone safe, respectful, and informed.
✅ General Behavior & Safety Guidelines:
- Be respectful to all members
- No hate speech, racism, or discrimination of any kind
- No bullying, harassment, or aggressive behavior
- Keep conversations appropriate and inclusive
- Do not promote or sell products unless approved by the organizer
- Only attend events you’ve RSVP’d to—no unexpected guests
- Respect the privacy and boundaries of fellow members
- Refrain from making negative or unnecessary comments, especially if you’re not active in the group
- Follow any event-specific rules shared in the description
💰 Payment & Fee Transparency (per Meetup Policy):
- Fees must be clearly stated in the event or group description
- No surprise charges—members must know what they’re paying for
- Organizers cannot demand payment through unofficial channels unless agreed upon (e.g. Venmo or CashApp is fine if clearly explained)
These guidelines help us maintain a safe, fun, and welcoming space for everyone. Violations may lead to removal from the group in accordance with Meetup’s terms of service.
