Book: Shy by Max Porter

Details
In February we will be reading Shy by Max Porter (which - fun fact - is currently cheaper in hardback than soft).
ABOUT:
Shy is a Sunday Times best seller - you can read about it HERE
You can buy from Amazon, eBay or there is a lovely local book shop in Faversham who will order books in for you - Tales on Market St.
Book Description:
This is the story of a few strange hours in the life of a troubled teenage boy.
You mustn't do that to yourself Shy. You mustn't hurt yourself like that.
He is wandering into the night listening to the voices in his head: his teachers, his parents, the people he has hurt and the people who are trying to love him.
Got your special meds, nutcase?
He is escaping Last Chance, a home for 'very disturbed young men', and walking into the haunted space between his night terrors, his past and the heavy question of his future.
'An act of humanity and grace, heightened by its distinctive form and artistry.' Telegraph
Event Info:
I live on West Street in Faversham and this event will be at my house. Please ensure you have a clear profile photo on your account and I will then send you my address.
I will provide food, water and tea/coffee plus chairs, cozy fire and hopefully some decent chat. Please let me know if you have any allergies prior to the event.
Please bring yourself (hungry) and any food or drink you would like to eat yourself or share with others (food or drink related to the book is strongly encouraged).
PS - I have a cat and dog. Please let me know if this is an issue and I will arrange for the dog to be out. Unfortunately cats do what they want (but she is very pretty).
