THIS EVENT IS FOR EXPERIENCED NIGHTSCAPERS: requisite of NightSky Capture 101, any Workshop, or Individual training with Fawcett Photography Adventures qualifies you for this advanced event. We will shoot long exposures, sunset, nightscapes, Milky Way, Orion on each these dates 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, or 23rd of September, 2025. If needed assistance and training is Hands-On during this event. There is a Maximum of 6 participants and a Minimum of 3 participants for this event.

Dare County and surrounding locale is a dark sky area suitable for capturing the Milky Way and Night Sky. This event will take place in an area surrounding Cape Hatteras National Seashore from South Nags Head to Hatteras Village.

This event for Night Sky capture is geared towards those advanced shooters with an interest in Astro-Photography / NightScapes utilizing proper capture technique. You will need a FULL FRAME Sensor digital camera, a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.8 or wider, a cable shutter release, and a sturdy tripod. Information on camera settings for proper capture/exposure for Night Sky will be provided as it relates to your equipment. Our focus will be on the best possible capture of a properly exposed single frame capture, stacking, and tracking for the ultimate night sky image.
Proper dress for this event is a must for areas that may have standing water, high tides, to include insects typically found in this coastal area.
