One of the unique advantages of Bitcoin is the ability to hold your own funds (what we call self-custody) without any reliance on banks or other third parties. Securing your bitcoin in self-custody can often be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to b.
Join Saturday, October 5, for an exclusive workshop where we will walk you through the basics of self-custody and signing transactions offline with a hardware wallet, specifically when using the Blockstream Jade. During the workshop we will:
- Overview of hardware wallets
- Unique characteristics of Blockstream Jade
- Set up your own Jade
- Show you how to receive and send bitcoin with the device
- Answer questions you may have about self-custody
This event is intended to be provide hands on experience with open-source hardware and help you become more sovereign financially. We recommend preparing by purchasing your own Jade. We will have some available at the event for cash or sats. If you do not want to purchase one before hand, there will be a few "loaner" Jades to use for free during the demo.
