About us
Hello! Thank you for checking out our group, and welcome to our bitcoin community. We are here for anyone in Northwest Arkansas that is interested in Bitcoin, the best monetary system we have ever known. All events are open to anyone in our locale with any knowledge level to bounce ideas around, share information and collaborate on projects. We host two standing events every month:
- The third Thursday of each month is our "Peer to Peer Social" where we discuss any an all things bitcoin.
The primary goal of Northwest Arkansas Bitcoin is to spread and grow a bitcoin community in Northwest Arkansas. I hope discussions will be engaging for everyone, but intend for the monthly meet up to be down to earth, no ego, no judgement conversations.
We are a Bitcoin ONLY group because of the sound monetary principles and open access for all users that are inherent to it. This means we are not here to discuss the latest "crypto" project.
All that being said, we hope to see you at our in person events!

KYC-FREE feat. RoboSats
Startup-Junkie, 1 E Center St #270, Fayetteville, AR 72701, Fayetteville, ar, USIn an age where every transaction can be traced, mandated Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) rules turn a simple payment into a data‑harvesting operation. By forcing users to hand over personal identification, KYC creates a single point of failure that governments, corporations, and malicious actors can exploit—enabling mass surveillance, financial censorship, identity theft, and the erosion of the very financial sovereignty that Bitcoin promises.
Join us for a concise, no‑fluff discussion on the hidden risks of KYC and why protecting your financial privacy is essential for a free society. We’ll then dive into RoboSats, the open‑source, peer‑to‑peer Bitcoin exchange built on the Lightning Network. RoboSats lets you trade BTC without any KYC, custodial risk, or centralized control: orders are matched automatically, funds never leave your wallet, and the protocol’s cryptographic guarantees keep your identity and trade details private.
Come learn how a handful of simple tools can preserve your anonymity, protect your assets from arbitrary seizure, and keep the Bitcoin ecosystem truly decentralized. Whether you’re a seasoned hodler or just curious about privacy‑first finance, this meetup will give you practical knowledge and a live demo of RoboSats in action.

Books To Discuss: The Big Print by Lawrence Lepard
Puritan Coffee & Beer, 205 West Dickson Street, Fayetteville, AR, USJoin us for an exciting book club discussion at our NWA Bitcoin Meetup, where we'll be diving into the world of macroeconomics and Bitcoin through the lens of Lawrence Lepard's thought-provoking book, "The Big Print".
In "The Big Print", Lepard, a renowned investment manager and economist, explores the intersection of monetary policy, global economics, and the rise of Bitcoin. Through his unique perspective, Lepard argues that the current monetary system is unsustainable and that Bitcoin represents a potential solution to the impending crisis.
During our meetup, we'll be discussing the key takeaways from the book, including:
- The flaws in modern monetary policy and the potential consequences of unchecked money printing
- The role of Bitcoin as a store of value and a potential hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty
- The implications of a decentralized, digital currency on traditional financial systems and power structures
This book club discussion is open to anyone interested in Bitcoin, economics, and the future of money. Whether you're a seasoned Bitcoin enthusiast or just curious about the subject, we invite you to join us for a lively and informative discussion.
