Let's Walk: Carvers Creek State Park (Sandhills Access)

Details

UPDATE: This event has been postponed to Saturday, 4/6/24 due to rainy weather.

Hey Y'all! Spring is making a comeback and so is the group.😁

Let's meetup to walk and explore the Carvers Creek Sandhills Access! Located off Ramsey Street in Fayetteville (near I-295) at 995 McCloskey Rd, this access offers lots of trail options.

For this hike, we'll walk parts of the Longleaf Pine trail and the Fox Squirrel Loop trail (map is in the photos for this event); together, this is about a 3-4 mile hike. Afterward, we could maybe eat and socialize at a nearby restaurant.

*What you need to know for this event:*

  • All trails are rated as easy hikes.
  • Pet friendly; they must be leashed.
  • Bring water to stay hydrated and snacks to keep you energized.
  • Dress appropriately for the activity and weather.
  • These trails are for use by hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders; so, keep your eyes open and watch where you step 👀. Also, everyone must yield to horseback riders.
  • Restrooms available, but toilets don't flush (porta potty type).
  • Lastly, please follow all posted park rules.

You can message me, leave a comment, or call the park (910-436-4681) if you have any questions. If you want to know more about Carvers Creek, you can find it on the website or call the park. See you there😁!
