8th La Porte Social Ride

Join us for the 8th La Porte Social ride! That's right, still young enough to be counting'em. Should be a nice pace with something in the middle. Like an Oreo with bikes and no innuendo.

The weather should be positively balmy, which is great because we'll have an excuse to stop off and refresh ourselves with ice cream or adult beverages. Even both if that's the way you swing.

Get together starting at 7, but we won't ride out until 7:30 pm. Be prepared for the usual road hazards. Although I should tell you, the worst we've experinced so far are some dropped lights, so bring some extra bungies for your lights if you have them.

Why, you're thinking, would I go all the way to La Porte for a social ride? Well, for starters, because the other folk on the bike ride are all very nice and good looking. And because in the evening La Porte has almost 0 traffic. Because the roads that we choose are smooth. Because you get to ride by the bay looking out over the moonlight on the water. So, a nice ride with great people, plenty of parking, restrooms that are easily accessible mid-route, and roads with little traffic. The real question is, why aren't you riding out here all the time instead of just on Wednesday nights?
