The Marlborough Film Club #6
Details
Meet Up # 6
A real mix of animation last month that everyone seemed to really enjoy.
This month we’ve gone for 2 very different films both based around the extremes of human endeavour / adventure.
FILM 1 - THE BIG BLUE
Luc Besson’s iconic movie following the rivalry between 2 free divers.
TIP : If you’re buying the DVD or Blu-ray try to find the english language version not the dubbed french one (It was originally filmed in English & the dubbed version feels a bit disjointed in fans opinions)
&
Film 2 : THE ALPINIST
Marc-André Leclerc climbs alone, far from the limelight. The free-spirited 23-year-old makes some of the boldest solo ascents in history.
The idea is to watch both at your leisure before the group and then we'll meet up at the Marlborough Pub (in Marlborough) on the 18th July to get everyone's thoughts.
We'll have a table reserved out the back of the pub and will start at 7pm.
Let the human trials of endeavour BEGIN !
