SLO Bitcoiners Monthly Meetup

Our inaugural SLO Bitcoiners monthly meeting! We'll meet at Central Coast Brewing on Higuera St. off US-101/Madonna Rd.

At this first meeting, let's just meet and chat. See who shows up, talk bitcoin, drink a beer, and gauge the interest level moving forward.

I'll suggest a topic for this meeting: bitcoin-the-asset vs bitcoin-the-network.

• Bitcoin-the-asset is what most people think of when "bitcoin" is mentioned. The price of bitcoin in US dollars is volatile but it has matured into a unique type of investable asset.
• Bitcoin-the-network refers to the technology as payment/settlement rails and all that is being built on top of it. Lightning invoices, value-for-value content creation, mining use-cases, etc.

Bitcoin meetups are popping up all over California, let's get an epic one started here on the central coast!
