If you're unfamiliar with Embrace, it's about regular woman turned Body Image Activist Taryn Brumfitt. Embrace follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.

I personally had the pleasure to spend time with Taryn a few weeks ago. She's as lovely in person as she is on the screen, and equally dedicated to a positive body image movement. She's doing big things outside of the film, like petitioning to have digitally altered images marked in media.

If you missed the Torrance screening in October, there were 90 people and the discussion was ah-may-zing! Tweens, teens, men and women all shared in uplifting and honest conversation about the topic of body image. Because of the unbelievable response and meeting Taryn in person, I couldn't resist a second screening even though getting the word out is intense and I don't profit from the screenings. It's that powerful of an experience, and I hope you'll join me.
