Torn Treasures Workshop, Sunday 8 + 15 June, friendship Café, Waterford
Details
The ticket is for both sessions of 2 hours each;
Sunday 8 June from 2 pm to 4 pm
Sunday 15 June from 2 pm to 4 pm
Two calm Sunday stitching sessions for adult women and moms (solo or with daughters) to reconnect with creativity, share gentle conversation, and bring new life to tired clothes — no sewing skills needed.
Join us for a relaxed afternoon of slow stitching at The Friendship Café, where worn clothes and old fabric find new life through visible mending, creativity, and care. Torn Treasures is a hands-on workshop where we use simple techniques — like running stitch and decorative embroidery — to patch, embellish, or lovingly repair garments you’d like to wear again.
This workshop is especially welcoming to adult women from different cultural backgrounds, moms, and mother-daughter pairs looking to connect in a peaceful, creative way. No sewing experience is needed — you’ll be guided step-by-step in a friendly, informal space.
Bring along something from home in need of repair (or choose from our second-hand stash), and enjoy the satisfaction of slow making, mindful conversation, and stitching that carries meaning.
These Sunday sessions are part of a one-off series funded by Waterford City Council’s Circular Economy grant, run in collaboration with WNCN. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.
