You have a date with "density" on October 18th to discuss "Back to the Future."
Whether you're a casual movie fan or seasoned cinephile, this workshop is a fun opportunity to learn more about what goes into the craft of moviemaking.
We'll take a look under the cinematic hood and see how the motion picture engine runs by discussing how the following crafts are woven together to create the power of movies:
Screenwriting - Blueprint for a Movie
Acting - Breathing Life into Characters
Production Design - Sets, Costumes, Props
Camera & Lighting - Directing Visual Stories
Editing - Putting the Puzzle Together
Everyone should watch the preselected movie in advance. During the workshop, the group watches various selected scenes from the chosen flick and we dissect and discuss each scene.
The Movie Appreciation Workshop is held in the screening room of the always fun Videology Bar and Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Drinking and eating during the workshop are encouraged.
Several trivia questions about the selected movie are asked throughout each workshop. The winner gets a FREE drink ticket!
