The Second Israeli Bitcoin Hackathon event is a must for every Bitcoin developer.
After the success of the first Bitcoin Hackathon, we are launching a new hackathon, and this time we doubled eveything. Double the space, double the attendees, double the prizes, double the food and double the beers.

The BITCOIN Hackathon is a 48-hour coding marathon.
The purpose of the hackathon is to give developers, designers, entrepreneurs and BITCOIN-fans the chance to pitch ideas involving only BITCOIN - form teams - build a prototype of their idea, all within only 48 hours!

Think you have the best-idea-everrrr?
If you have an idea you wish to execute, please send an email with the subject “Byte Hackathon” to Dor Konforty at konfortydor at gmail dot com
The email should have your name, summary of your idea, the technology/protocol behind it, what do you need, do you have a team already, and other notes you think we should know.
Only after you will recieve email from Dor, notifying you that your idea is in, your idea is in.
Towards the event, we will publish the list of ideas.

A. Every developer interested in Bitcoin. However, you should already have some knowledge of the Bitcoin protocol. So go ahead, do some homework, join the revolution. We are waiting.
B. Anyone who has a great idea (and his idea passed Dor’s selection)
C. Bitcoin fans who thinks they can contribute.
D. Ninjas. If you are a real life ninja, please step forward. Or people with high score on FlappyBird.

The schedule:
27/02/2014 - Thursday:
19:00 - Gathering (After the IBA conference).
20:00 - Pitching your ideas. Everyone who has an idea, will get 3 minutes to pitch it. Summarise the idea, why do you think the idea is important/has potential, and what are you going to need to finish your idea on time.
21:00 - Voting on the final ideas. We will vote for the best ideas, divide into groups and start hacking things up!
Teams are welcome to stay as long as they want.

28/02/2014 - Friday:
10:00 - Back to the lab. Hack, hack, hack.
Teams are welcome to stay as long as they want.

01/03/2014 - Saturday:
10:00 - Final hours of hacking.
19:00 - Presentations. Each team will have 4 minutes to present their product. We have a panel full of hard-core bitcoiners that will grade each team.
20:00 - Announcing the winners.

Clarifications:
1. The first prize is aimed for Protocol 2.0 based on the Master protocol, second layer protocols (Startups) will shape the world’s (and bitcoin’s) future, we want to see it happen!
The second and third prizes are aimed to general ideas.
2. Teams will be no more than 3 members per team. (and if they will, only 3 can win prizes)
3. Team who would like to spend the nights hacking, are welcomed. However, bring your sleeping bad. And a toothbrush. 4. Judging criterias: You score is divided to 40% innovation, 40% how finalized and ready is the product, 20% your presentation.
5. Bring your own laptops. We can't supply computers, but there will be plenty of Wi-Fi for everyone (you can take the leftovers). 6. Lots of parking available in the hackathon area.
6. A few hours before the hackathon, the Israeli Bitcoin Conference will take place in Sheraton Hotel in Tel-Aviv. We would like to encourage everyone to go ahead and participate in this wonderful event. For details:
